I began painting following my retirement from a long career in nursing, and over the past 18 years it has become a central part of my life. After exploring a variety of mediums, I now work primarily in acrylics and oils, continually experimenting with new techniques and approaches.
My style has evolved towards an impressionistic and abstract response to the landscape, with seascapes and rural scenes as my main inspiration.
Colour and texture play a vital role in my work, bringing energy and movement to each piece. My paintings have been collected both locally and nationally, and are held in private collections in France, the USA, and New Zealand. I regularly exhibit in Devon, including the Artisan Gallery in Exmouth and for the Devon Open Studios here at Sea View Art Barn.
