Our Customer Reviews

  • Mandy

“I recently enjoyed one of James Tatum’s art workshops at Sea View Barn. What a fabulous setting! Frances made  everyone so welcome and James put us all at our ease with his friendly, relaxed manner. We were lucky enough to stroll down to the cliff top in glorious sunshine to observe and sketch the stunning view before returning to watch a painting demonstration by James. His work is amazing! The rest of the day was spent on our individual projects and James was on hand to guide and advise as and when. He really encouraged everyone to explore their own ideas whilst offering suggestions along the way. He’s a really approachable and encouraging teacher and I would highly recommend his courses. So enjoyable. Sea View Barn offers the perfect place to explore your creativity! Go for it!”

“Thanks to both James and Frances, I had such an amazing weekend with brilliant people in wonderful surroundings. It was very inspiring and I learnt so very much, from composing an ‘seeing’ a painting from a photograph, through to loosening up and letting go of old hang ups and preconceived ideas to help laying paint down in a much more intuitive way. Many thanks. I will be back.”
